Under the spell of Calima, the world shifts into something unearthly. Dust from the Sahara drapes the sky in a golden haze. The sun fades into a pale disc, a phantom glowing through desert air. Horizons blur, shapes soften, and light turns surreal.

Mountains, dunes, and ocean reflect shades of ochre and bronze, as if painted with molten light and sand. For a fleeting moment, the world feels suspended—strange, beautiful, and utterly transformed.

The setting sun ignites the sky in hues of gold, purple, and fire. Clouds catch its glow, dancing above, while below, the ocean mirrors this cosmic display. Light ripples across the waves, bending, dissolving, creating a fleeting dimension where air and water entwine.

For a brief moment, we glimpse this hidden world—a universe painted on water, existing only for a heartbeat before fading into darkness. The salty breeze on your skin, the rhythmic whisper of the waves, and the sky ablaze with color. It’s an overwhelming beauty that stirs something deep inside, yet defies the limits of words or a camera’s lens. There’s a mix of awe and quiet frustration, knowing that any attempt to capture its essence feels inadequate, unable to express the raw, fleeting magic without falling into cliché.

KUALA LUMPUR STREETS

Look up and the first thing that will catch your attention is impressive modern skyline of skyscrapers and among them the famous Petronas Twin Towers reigning over the heads…. makes you feel so tiny…

Look down and around you. And you feel like in a different place, drown to the cosines of the old shops in the narrow streets, to the smell of fresh cooked food from the street stall, scent of the pandan leaves. Where local people gather together to enjoy the warm tropical evening.
